What do you get when you combine New Kid’s On The Block, Salt N Pepa, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Naughty by Nature and barre? An event that can’t be missed and a class that will fly by as you belt out the lyrics to your favorite throwback tunes. Themed classes are a fun way to turn your regular Tuesday 9:15 AM barre class into a can’t miss event. This workshop will discuss how to create successful and fun themed classes, plus fill your choreography toolbox with a ton of creative new moves!

BURLESQUE BARRE

Burlesque Barre© is a steamy version of Barre – learn a new fitness format that has risen to cult-like popularity in cities like New York and London. Inside this sinfully playful class format is a know-no-boundaries exercise challenge that blends techniques from ballet, jazz, Pilates, tango – devoted to Barre methodology which is known to produce a toned and graceful dancer-like body. 

DAILEY METHOD - ALIGNMENT PRINCIPLES

ANATOMY AND CONNECTION FOR BARRE FITNESS

Connecting with your students is the key to teaching success and the hands-down best way to create connection is by being hands-on. Step one in giving effective hands on adjustments is to have a deep understanding of the key anatomical structures in barre fitness - the pelvis, hips and spine. In this dynamic, hands-on anatomy and movement mechanics session, you will explore these key anatomical structures, how they should (and shouldn't) move, and how your hands-on feedback can help your students stay safe and challenge themselves throughout class.
