CORE BARRE FIT: THE ART OF TEACHING BARRE
with Fred Devito and Elisabeth Halfpapp
Learn from the leaders in barre how to take your teaching to the next level with sound and established pedagogy skills. This workshop will help you to add more presence and mindful connection with your students in the classroom and enlighten you to the art of teaching. Through a process called, “The Circle of Connection”, you will learn to give group cues, register how the students react to your cues, and how to respond to your students as they react to your cues. In order to reach this level of teaching, you will learn to weave a constant juggle of group cueing, individual Verbal/Visual cueing, and hands on adjustments - all without missing a beat or getting lost with distraction. This process involves learning how to increase your “bandwidth” as a teacher and move beyond the memorization of choreography, script and playlists.
