How to Dynamically Use Props to Enhance Every Class

This workshop will explore prop use as dynamic tools that can:

  • Add simple creativity to your sequences

  • Modify or up-level your students’ challenge in each class

  • Create cross-body muscular connections

  • Serve as feedback tools to deepen your students’ alignment during class

  • Enhance stretching and therapeutic opportunities at the end of class

Throughout our discussion we will break down anatomical and biomechanical concepts relevant to each prop used as well as and correlate how the props can serve as a replacement for hands-on teaching feedback during virtual classes. A 50 minute movement experience will follow our discussion integrating all discussed props.

Suggested Props: while having the following props on hand for the workshop is not required, it will help with your felt-sense understanding of their use: 8 inch pilates ball, yoga block, yoga strap or scarf, mini band.
